"Kimoko" tells the story of the meeting between the Makouaya brothers and Paul Wacrenier—a free jazz musician who, for several years, has been immersed in traditional African music and has learned to play the sanza under the guidance of Christian and Amour!
"Kimoko" sets a course for the Congo Basin! Inspired by traditional musical gatherings, Christian, Amour, and Paul draw the audience into a lively, spirited musical conversation. The sânsi, ngômfi, and lungôyi set the rhythm for this journey into the heart of Central African music. Seated right up close to the artists, the audience members are not merely passive observers—they are invited to listen, interact, and participate!
