Description
The festival’s 30th edition is electrifying Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis! Cultures, festivities, songs, and dance floors are coming alive—featuring *Cabaraï* tonight and a guest of honor: the legendary dancer Esraa Warda, who has traveled from New York to wrap up the Raï season!
Cabaraï was born in Marseille, driven by queer individuals from North African diasporas who wanted to create inclusive, safe party spaces for their entire community. Cabaraï embodies the transgressive spirit of the Algerian cabaret, where artists and audiences alike feel free to simply be, to dance, and to express the full range of their emotions, all fueled by the power of Raï music.
The lineup features a hosting performance by Lalla Aïcha, DJ sets, a brand-new show by dancer Esraa Warda and her musicians, and surprise guests!
+ Opening act: 93 Super Raï Band
Founded in 2008 by Villes des Musiques du Monde, the 93 Super Raï Band is a unique musical collective bringing together amateur musicians under professional guidance. The group reimagines classic songs from the Maghreb and the Raï genre, blending brass, traditional percussion, and vocals with jazz influences—all in the spirit of popular marching bands and street festivals.
>>> Event organized in partnership with Canal 93 to close the Saison Raï, with support from the Institut français and the Seine-Saint-Denis Departmental Council.
