A graduate of the Istanbul State Conservatory, the artist has developed a distinctive musical world that fuses folk music with electronic sounds. On stage, Cem Yildiz reimagines sounds in real time, creating a unique experience at every concert.
Nicknamed "Electro-Dédé" or "Electro-Ashik"—a reference to the troubadours and poets of Anatolia—Cem Yildiz carries on the long lineage of these champions of freedom and tolerance who, with *saz* in hand and poetry on their lips, have traversed the centuries.
