The virtuoso violinist Mathias Lévy presents a brand-new trio, featuring Emmanuel Bex on the organ and Simon Goubert on drums. The repertoire will draw on works by Monk, Mingus, Ellington and Ornette Coleman. What a line-up !
Mathias Lévy is just like his instrument: he knows no boundaries. Trained in the classical tradition, he has since ventured down the unconventional paths of gypsy jazz. Far from confining himself to a single style, this eclectic musician embraces a wide range of experiences, with a talent and determination that establish him as a new voice on the violin in France.
This concert is part of the 15th edition of the Jazz sur Seine Festival.
