Description
‘Bal(les)’ brings together an acrobat and a juggler in a close-knit, playful and poetic duo. Combining feats of skill with emotional depth, this exquisitely crafted show features Alexander Koblikov and Charlotte de la Bretèque in a unique and enchanting performance.
The Zalataï Company was founded in 2021 out of a shared desire by Charlotte de la Bretèque and Alexander Koblikov to combine their artistic backgrounds and merge their distinct circus styles into a shared creative journey.
From the very beginning, the company has forged a style all of its own. Through its two productions, Palianytsia and Bal(les), Zalataï embraces the language of contemporary circus whilst pushing its boundaries — blending rare technical mastery with poetic imagery and deep emotional resonance. This precision, far from being purely virtuosic, becomes a means of conveying vulnerability, presence and authenticity.
The set design is deliberately subtle — almost invisible. It is the circus apparatus itself that evokes shifting atmospheres, creates spaces and shapes the audience’s perception. Every object becomes a narrator.
