SHOUT TWICE is a manifesto-like piece in which a shout becomes dance and vice versa. Anyone who has seen the two performers on stage knows that their bodies exude a liberating power. Whilst the two artists have known each other since *Bless This Mess* (2024), Katerina Andreou’s previous piece in which Mélissa Guex performed, *SHOUT TWICE* is a collaborative work. Both guided in their respective work by their relationship with rhythm, their collaboration is conceived as a concert comprising a succession of musical pieces. Sound becomes physical and the body an instrument. In constant interplay, the two dancers seek to amplify each other’s sound and movement. Their bodies break free from their habitual patterns and make the idea of excess palpable. The violence and pain typically associated with a scream are transformed into sources of infectious joy.
