Festival – Short but not fast #9

2 DAYS, 6 PROJECTS, 30-MINUTE PERFORMANCES, 2 JURIES, 1 YEAR OF SUPPORT INCLUDED Overview Each session lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and gives you the chance to see three performances, each lasting 30 minutes. Each project will be performed once on Saturday and once on Sunday. To see all six projects selected for this 9th edition, you will need to buy a ticket for sessions 1 and 2 (either on the same day, or session 1 on Saturday and session 2 on Sunday, or session 2 on Saturday and session 1 on Sunday). A single ticket price of €7 per session, or €14 to attend both sessions SESSION 1 – SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER AT 5.00 PM OR SUNDAY 13 SEPTEMBER AT 3.00 PM Réformé.es / La lézarde / Ces enfants-là SESSION 2 – SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER AT 8.00 PM OR SUNDAY 13 SEPTEMBER AT 6.00 PM Une leçon de russe / Hilare le joli / Ma grande tante m’a appris à jouer avec le feu WHAT IS ‘SHORT BUT NOT FAST’? ‘Short but not fast’ follows a schedule that is the reverse of other events: the two days of the festival are merely the starting point for a world of possibilities. Over these two days, six companies will present a 30-minute showcase to an audience and a jury of professionals. The winner of the jury prize will then receive support over the course of a year to develop their professional skills across all areas of expertise. We aim to highlight the first artistic endeavours of a free, relevant, impetuous and carefree youth, whilst offering them a space of freedom where it is possible to start afresh. JOIN THE AUDIENCE JURY To select the winner of the Audience Award, an audience jury will be formed! Taking part couldn’t be simpler: all you need to do is have seen all six selected performances and be present on Sunday 13 September after Session 2 (around 7.30 pm). We’ll draw six people at random at that time and again at the end of the festival who meet these criteria, and they’ll deliberate to award their Audience Award from among the six shows. About the show PROJECTS SELECTED FOR THE NINTH EDITION REFORMÉ·E·S (session 1: Saturday 12 September at 5.00 pm and Sunday 13 September at 3.00 pm) In the near future, where compulsory military service has been reinstated, four friends find their convictions clashing in a France that is more divided than ever. Blending radio drama, humour and tragedy, Réformé·e·s explores the impact of war on the friendships and imaginations of a generation. Collective text and creation directed by Louise Walter – Featuring Nathan Boutet-Fossat, Bertille Lucarain, Lilia Rieu, Louise Walter Compagnie Des molaires en hiver THOSE CHILDREN (session 1: Saturday 12 September at 5.00 pm and Sunday 13 September at 3.00 pm) Maria, Eddy, Louisa and Enzo meet in the only little park with the only large bench. It is through their conversations that their first sense of class consciousness emerges: their first collective act of rebellion. As the lessons unfold, a semi-fictional world with a Soviet flavour takes shape, complete with its own maps, characters and ideology.
