A group exhibition of graduates from the Master's program in photography at Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis University in collaboration with the Diaph8 collective.
Eight photographers, graduates of Paris 8 University, have come together around a shared approach: questioning their identity and revisiting family ties, whether inherited or chosen. Each explores the people, bodies, and landscapes that shape their personal history. Their images bring forth traces of lives past, present, or yet to come, revealing fragments of memory and suspended moments.
Their perspectives shift between closeness and distance, working with subjects by stretching, fragmenting, or transforming them. Through a combination of photographs, films, and texts, they compose introspective narratives where transitions, melancholy, and pivotal moments intertwine. Throughout these individual journeys, the figure of Félicie, Paul Éluard's grandmother, emerges as a guiding thread. She situates these personal explorations within a broader history, connecting past experiences to those of the present.
