Description

The Archaeology Unit and its partners offer activities combining art and archaeology: workshops, a performance show offered by the Déchets d’arts association, or an immersive installation with Artefact93!
On the program: • Artefact93 presents an immersive installation in a yurt exploring the concept of living archaeology and how the public perceives heritage today. At the heart of this structure, an aerial installation composed of dragonflies and catfish will float in the space, creating a poetic and suspended atmosphere. Visitors can sit inside to experience a soundscape based on interviews collected during the 2025 European Heritage Days (JEA 2025), exploring the question, "When you hear 'archaeology,' what comes to mind?" • These days will also mark the culmination of an artistic process initiated by Déchets d’Art and the Archaeology Unit with several artists: Charlotte Le Damany (plant dyeing), Valérie Truong (plant dyeing), Matilde Gourdol (performing arts), and Estelle Bertin (music). The performance will take place on Saturday, June 13th, in the scaffolding!
