Rachid Ouramdane explores childhood, time and absence. Contre-nature unfolds with ethereal movements in a hybrid world where ten performers combine dance and acrobatics, each bringing their own style and story to better draw us in.
Choreographer Rachid Ouramdane continues his exploration of aerial movement, which he began with Möbius and the circus performers of the XY company. For Contre-nature, the director of Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse brings together dancers and acrobats, blurring the boundaries between these two disciplines to create new synergies. On a bare stage, sometimes sculpted by light, sometimes bathed in a mist where images float, Rachid Ouramdane evokes childhood, the passing of time and the absence of loved ones. Each person has their own way of moving, dancing or flying ; each brings their own background and technique. Acrobats and dancers construct delicate intertwining movements, provoking chain reactions, letting themselves be carried away by their movements, and taking us with them !
