A circus and visual arts show about human folly and the quest for gold. Two women, obsessed with stones, fall and struggle to restore balance to the world, transforming pebbles and rocks into acrobatic poetry.
The Sound of Stones
A circus and visual arts show about the imbalance of the world
On stage, two women embody human madness in the quest for gold. One obsessively covers every stone she sees with gold leaf. The other picks up every stone scattered on the ground, to the point of overdose. When a rock falls with a deafening noise, they stop. A series of falls ensues. In a fierce struggle, they then attempt to set the world right by recreating a connection with their surroundings. A show like a visual poem in which pebbles and rocks become circus apparatus.
Ages 7 and up, duration 50 min.
