The Maison du Peuple is showing ‘Ma frère’, a sensitive and contemporary feature film that follows two young summer camp counsellors as they face their first major life choices. The film is open to all audiences at an affordable price.
The Maison du Peuple continues its film screening series with Ma frère, a 1 hour 52 minute film directed by Romane Gueret and Lise Akoka, which follows Shaï and Djeneba, two 20-year-old childhood friends who leave to work as camp counsellors in the Drôme region with children who, like them, come from the Place des Fêtes housing project in Paris. Over the course of the summer, between new responsibilities, personal questions and strong bonds with the children, the two young women find themselves on the cusp of adulthood, faced with decisive choices to shape their future and reinvent their friendship. This film for all ages, rooted in reality and carried by intense acting, is being shown at the Maison du Peuple at a price of €4.70 for all ages and €4 for under-26s and students, with several screenings scheduled on 29 March, 26 April, 31 May and 28 June.
