For its 37th anniversary, Africolor celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Portuguese-speaking African independence! A unique evening, from Luanda to Seine-Saint-Denis, where you'll vibrate between captivating laments and wild rhythms. A unique concert not to be missed!
Immerse yourself in a musical journey where memory, heritage, and imagination intertwine. Nossa Angola was born from the encounter of three artists from the Angolan diaspora who, without having known the Angola of their ancestors, reinvent it through a vibrant creation. This hybrid project blends song, guitar, and dance, summoning collective and intimate imaginations. On stage, the powerful presence of performer Cabuenha, the energy of Lameck's riffs, imbued with Angolan sounds, and the warm voice of Lulendo, former backing vocalist for Papa Wemba, echo and complement each other. Together, they give birth to a unique musical narrative, suspended between roots and invention, where nostalgia becomes a driving force for creation.
In a different register, but equally imbued with transmission, Banda Duia pays tribute to a key figure of semba: Eduardo Garcia Adolfo, known as "Duia." The first to bring the vibrations of the electric guitar to this traditional Angolan style, he influenced an entire generation. His children now perpetuate his legacy by reinventing it in their own way. Alongside virtuoso percussionist Chico Santos (Banda Maravilha), the Duia siblings offer an authentic, generous semba, combining original compositions and iconic covers in homage to their father.
Between memory and innovation, these two projects outline a plural and vibrant Angola, resonating in both bodies and hearts.
