Georges Valbon Park

A park bigger than Central Park!

With its 410 hectares, the Parc Georges-Valbon is quite simply the largest green space in the Ile-de-France region, classified as a Natura 2000 site. Alternating bodies of water, gentle slopes, wooded areas and playgrounds, it’s as if it had been designed to do it all: run, flow, play and chat. A living, multi-purpose space that remains lively and vibrant in all seasons.

History of the park

Before becoming the green lung of the 93, the site was flooded marshland, crossed by streams and, in the 1960s, a shantytown: La Campa.

Year after year, bridges, walkways, wooded areas and lakes were laid, without ever betraying the original terrain. A park made by human will, piece by piece, that has retained a raw âme.

Green lung of the 93 Third largest park in the Paris Region

With its 417 hectares that breathe – à straddling La Courneuve, Dugny, Saint-Denis, Stains and Garges – it’s the thirdème largest park in’Île-de-France afterès Vincennes and Boulogne.

And it’s all the rarer for being a Natura 2000 listed park covering 310 hectares, where the long-eared owl, the short-eared dowitcher and the natterjack toad live in peace. And for us? 7 lakes, rose garden, walks, riding centre, varied terrain, a nature buffet 365 days a year.

A festive park And popular

Long a supporter of theFête de l’Humanité, the park vibrated under hundreds of thousands of visitors before welcoming the Parc des Jeux during the Paris 2024 Games – 10,000 people/day, géants, concerts, shows, food trucks – it was géant and popular.

From 4 to 6 July 2025, the Multitude festival will be taking place in the Parc de Georges Valbon, with legendary artists such as Fianso, Vitaa and Keblack taking to the stage for free concerts, fashion shows, stand-ups, parades, entertainment and a funfair!

The heritage of the essence land

During the Olympic Games, the park didn’t pretend: the biggest live-site in the Paris region, with a climbing wall, skatepark, 3×3 fields, panoramic tower, canoeing on the lake, all free of charge. And as a legacy? 13 hectares newly de-polluted, the “Terrain des Essences” (former military dépôt), with wildlife refuge, observatory, skatepark and playground inaugurated in May 2025.
