How to watch a Red Star’s game?

The star that makes Saint-Ouen tick

It’s one of France’s most legendary clubs and the beating heart of Saint-Ouen. Founded in 1897 by Jules Rimet (no less!), Red Star FC combines a passion for football, popular culture and a love of the area. Between sporting exploits, buzzing stands and lively pubs, football is lived, sung and shared here. Ready to immerse yourself in the Bauer atmosphere?

A historic club

Red Star is a legend in French football. Created in 1897 by Jules Rimet, the founder of the World Cup and FIFA, it is one of France’s oldest clubs, with five French Cups to its name.

But more than titles, the club embodies a state of mind: that of popular football, accessible to all, deeply rooted in its neighbourhood. People come here for the love of the game, for the green and white shirt and for the atmosphere on match nights. Ready to embark on a journey to the heart of one of the coolest clubs in the world?

The Bauer stadium the historic heart of Red Star FC

Welcome to Bauer, the historic heart of Red Star. This human-sized stadium, nestled in the centre of Saint-Ouen, exudes an incomparable atmosphere. Every square metre oozes passion: songs, smoke bombs, banners, fervour…

Built in the 1920s, Bauer is undergoing a major renovation to enable the club to continue playing there. The renovation will be completed in 2026-2027, although the club will still be able to continue its sporting exploits at the stadium during the works! Once the work is finished, Bauer will have a capacity of 10,000 and will retain its trademark charm, the famous Planet Z, the sloping building that serves as its “fourth stand”.

How to watch a match

Want to experience a Red Star match? Nothing could be simpler. Tickets are available online here (subject to availability). Tickets go fast, especially when the club is flirting with the heights of Ligue 2, so it’s best to get in early! If you want a seat in the KOP (where the atmosphere is most lively), we recommend that you purchase your ticket as soon as they go on sale, about ten days before the match date.

If you’re late, don’t panic: La Communale, the big food court in Saint-Ouen, L’Olympic and Mains d’oeuvres often broadcast matches on the big screen, in a friendly, lively atmosphere.

Before heading back to the stadium, you have to stop off at L’Olympic, the legendary bar right opposite the stadium! It’s THE place to be for fans of the club. Inside you’ll find pennants, photos, club scarves and, of course, plenty of beer. If you’re feeling peckish, we’ve put together a selection of the best restaurants around the Stade Bauer! Find it by clicking here. In short, a match at Bauer isn’t just something to be experienced at Bauer, it’s something to be experienced in the city before and after the match, debriefing with friends, feasting in the great local restaurants and just waiting for one thing: to go back to Bauer.

Where is it? I really want to go!

The Stade Bauer is located at 92 Rue du Docteur Bauer in Saint-Ouen.
