Created in 2021 under the impetus of the Villes des Musiques du Monde association, the Point Fort was built around a simple but powerful idea: to create a lively, open and festive venue for all cultures. It’s a space for creation, sharing, transmission and encounters. Before it became a hotbed of creativity, the Point Fort was… a military fort! A legacy of the 19th century, it has kept its imposing walls but radically changed its atmosphere.

And here’s a little nugget of history: this is where France’s very first Break Dance Battle took place, in 1984. Yes, French hip-hop began to make its mark within these walls.
