After three years of renovation, the venue is getting a facelift, and has a real circus party in store for you: strolls through the studios, outdoor performances, participatory workshops, music and shows in the majestic Halle.

Every season, artists from a variety of backgrounds create shows with the students or present their work on the site. And the best part? Launched over 40 years ago by the legendary duo Annie Fratellini and Pierre Étaix. The academy’s mission is to train a dozen students from all over the world over a three-year period. Their daily routine? Hours of training, creative work, meetings with established artists and the stage, always the stage. The result is a new generation of artists who are driving the development of contemporary circus in France and elsewhere. But there’s no need to aim for an international career to get a taste of the magic of the circus. The Académie Fratellini is also a leisure school for children and adults. Younger children can learn circus disciplines from the age of 5, and older children can try their hand at acrobatics, juggling or trapeze. Add to that holiday courses and themed workshops, and you’ve got the perfect playground for releasing your energy, pushing your limits and having the time of your life.

The Académie Fratellini is located at 1-9 Rue des Cheminots in Saint-Denis and is open every weekend, from Saturday to Monday, from 10am to 6pm.
