Our cultural third places and alternative wastelands

A mix of culture, food and party!

What are our “tiers-lieux culturels”? They’re former industrial wastelands transformed into places for culture, sharing and celebration. Unique places, testimony to a destination in full effervescence! Discover the best third-party venues in the 93 region, where you can have fun, learn something new or enjoy a good meal.

#1 The 6b in Saint-Denis

The 6b, housed in a 7,000 m² former industrial wasteland in Saint-Denis, has been a self-managed spot since 2010. With nearly 300 artists and structures in residence, it’s a veritable creative ecosystem.

Every year, nearly 100 events are organized, making 6b a cultural hotspot not to be missed in the Paris region.

As an added bonus, the Ciboulette canteen offers solidarity cuisine based on local produce, with a menu for under €15.

Open every lunchtime, Monday to Friday, from 12:30 to 2pm.

#2 Mains d'oeuvres in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine

Mains d’Œuvres is a place for creation and encounters, born of the desire to make art accessible to all. Exhibitions, concerts, shows, workshops and discussions: here, every moment is an invitation to imagine, feel and create together.

Like the 6b, Mains d’Œuvres also has its own canteen: a warm spot to chat over a meal, a coffee or a drink.

Le resto: Monday to Friday, 12pm to 3pm (and evenings during events).
The bar: Tuesday to Friday, 6pm to midnight, and Saturday, 10am to midnight.

#3 Le Point Fort in Aubervilliers

Le Point Fort is a dynamic cultural venue where world music and dance meet: hip hop, flamenco, cumbia, rap and much more. Managed by the Villes des Musiques du Monde association, it offers concerts, dance performances, exhibitions and screenings, as well as sporting and cultural events for young people. The venue also serves as a space for artistic residencies.

This unique spot combines an enclosed big top and a large 1,500m² open hall, welcoming a varied audience from Aubervilliers, Paris, the Greater Paris area, the whole region and the whole world.

#4 L'Éclair in Épinay-sur-Seine

Based in Épinay-sur-Seine for over 100 years, the Éclair company played a key role in the history of French cinema, helping to make and print more than half the films of the 20th century.

Now owned by the city, the site has been transformed into a cultural and artistic venue open to all.

La guinguette l’ÉCLAIR is more than 3 hectares of outdoor space staged by Soukmachines, with a forest, a meadow, two large squares, a performing arts tent, dances set to music, an arena, awnings, alleyways, sidewalks, wild grasses, a maze of wonders…

#5 Aubervilliers laboratories

Created in 1993 in a former metallurgy factory, the Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers are a hub for multidisciplinary research, experimentation and creation.

On January 6, 2025, they launched a new co-directed project entitled “La fabrique démocratique, un art avec et pour les autres”. This relational art project follows in the footsteps of what Les Labos has been doing for over 30 years, focusing on dance, visual arts and performance.
